importance of sharing and a new painting

Hello there! How are you doing?

In every single blog, this is the first question I ask. Because this question is very important to ask and to answer. I don’t ask it just as a formality but I really feel that we should check in to every person we feel connected to. Yesterday, a very young and talented actor committed suicide. He was successful. He was such a great actor. Everyone is in shock.

From the first blog I have been asking, “How are you?”. It is not complusory to write in the comment box. If you have no one to share anything with anyone, you can talk to me at I promise it will be private and I will not share anything with anyone. And if you don’t want to do that, reach out to someone whom you trust. It is very important to share what you are feeling.

I know I am not your friend or anything, but we can be, only if you want. I may not be a great adviser, but I am a very good listener. You can trust me.

About YouTube update:

I know I have not been posting so much on YouTube. There is one video edited already a week ago and I just have to do the voice over. I will post it soon. Until then enjoy this video. This is an easy fish watercolor painting tutorial.

So now let’s talk about today’s painting. I wanted to paint something that look similar to the traditional painting. I use Krita software for every illustration I create. First, I dropped the colors I needed. And then I blended them using the blender brush. Oh and the visuals of blending those colors was so satisfying. I really really enjoyed a lot painting like this. And I want to paint more landscape, seascape and skyscape using this method. If you try something like this, please share with me. And if you want to paint like this, do let me know in the comment. I will share detailed tutorial with you, or we can plan a painting together date!!

Thank you so much for reading!

  1. It certainly is important to reach out to others, especially during a time when many people are feeling isolated more than ever. It’s nice of you to open up your email for that πŸ™‚

I remember that fish video when it first was posted on Youtube! I enjoyed it very much, and it inspired me to do my own fish paintings. And I love that digital painting you did…the blending makes it so soft and beautiful!

    1. Thank you so much. I just want to help people who are in need. The fish painting video I made for people to try their hands on painting when there was lock down, so people can spend time creating something. and if you want, you can share your fish painting on the same email I shared πŸ™‚

      1. Small gestures can be just as important and impactful πŸ™‚

Where I live, we still have some restrictions on going out, so I have had plenty of time to paint. It’s always nice to find new ideas! If you don’t mind, I will probably share my fish painting on my blog…that way I can share a link back to you.

        1. That’s great! I am waiting for your blog.

  2. You have a good heart, Heli. Just reading your blog post today really put a smile to my face.
Things in my life have been… difficult, to say the very least…
But what keeps me up is my art.
I really like your paintings! They look so cheerful and fun to look at. Thanks for sharing your work! I will have to check out some of your YouTube videos!

    1. Thank you Mike! Art is actually very helpful. For me, it is like a meditation. I forget everything else while I am painting.
I am so happy that my writing made you smile. This means a lot to me.
And life is not a fairy tale. Difficulties are gonna come. Stay strong!

    1. Thank you for stopping by and reading. It means a lot me πŸ™‚

      1. My pleasure, followed you πŸ™ŒπŸ»

        1. Thanks 😊

        2. Yes! It is the same with me, Heli. It’s like I get into “the zone” when I am applying colors to my “canvas” (usually a postcard). I “create” worlds that I would like to visit. I like nature and the outdoors so that is what I like to paint.
Yep, that’s true. We are living in troubled times. And sometimes life can seem quite unbearable. But bear it we must. But with good friends, it seems a little more bearable and a little easier!
Thank you, Heli and thanks for following my blog! I hope that you’ll check out some more posts on there. I use watercolor as well and use the “wet on wet” technique to create landscapes.

          1. of course I will visit your blog. And thanks for sharing your thoughts πŸ™‚

          2. You are welcome, Heli and thank you so much. πŸ™‚
